The Charlotte Fall Classic began in 2004 under the direction of Mike Desmond when it was run through the Stickwithus organization. In 2022, longtime Stickwithus coach Bobby Thompson became the director of the Fall Classic.
Coach Thompson has been a fixture in the Charlotte lacrosse community since 2000. He has helped run Team Carolina since its inception as the youth director, and he has coached every age group, from U9 through varsity. Coach Thompson currently serves as the head coach at Providence Day School, a program he has led since 2005.
He is looking forward to continuing the great tradition and providing the same great experience that teams have come to expect at the Charlotte Fall Classic!
